Used Car Buying Guide: What We Check Before We Sell

11 March 20266 min read

Buying used doesn't have to be a gamble. Every car we sell goes through the same 30-point inspection we'd want on a car for our own family.

The big-ticket items first: compression and leak checks on the engine, gearbox and clutch operation, and a full diagnostic scan of every module — because a cleared warning light is not a fixed fault.

Then the safety items: brakes measured (not just glanced at), suspension checked on the ramp, tyres dated and measured, and structural rust ruled out.

Finally the history: MOT record cross-checked, mileage verified, outstanding finance checked. If you're buying privately elsewhere, we offer the same inspection as a pre-purchase check — cheaper than buying someone else's problem.
